Thank You Junior League

Thank you to the Junior League of Napa and Sonoma for making our Valentine’s Day so special. They brought gift bags and beautiful cupcakes for our ladies. XOXOXO from TLR!

Rotary Club Crab Feast

Rotary Club of Santa Rosa West held its annual Crab Feast and part of the event benefited The Living Room! This phenomenal organization had a paddle raise at the event that resulted in $24,000 for us. THANK YOU to The Rotary Club and everyone who raised their paddle. It’s a great start toward the commercial kitchen project being planned for our newly purchased property that will become our new HOME BASE later this year!

LookingGlass Champagne and Shopping

Healdsburg held a beautiful event at their store to benefit The Living Room. Music, food, wine, and raffle were enjoyed by their lady customers and members of TLR. THANK YOU to owner Jennifer Merletti Penrose for graciously organizing this fun benefit that brought us $2,360 for the homeless women and children we serve!

Annual Christmas Luncheon

Our Annual Christmas luncheon for the women and children at The Living Room was a beautiful sight to see. Volunteers prepared and served a delicious meal, and lots of gifts were given to the children and teens. The visit from Santa included photos of the children sitting on his lap. It was wonderful to see smiles on so many faces.

“Volunteering at The Living Room has made me empathize with the children and families more than I already had. Through listening to people's stories and learning abut them as people, I've come to admire the strength and resilience these mothers have.”

“I’ve had the privilege to be on the board of directors and also volunteer in the MAC program at The Living Room for the past 3 years. Each time I’m on campus the feel of community and hope The Living Room offers goes beyond simple words. Being able to volunteer with our participants gives me needed insight to offer the board as we move to make viable decisions for our program. I’m thrilled to be a part of such an impactful service to the underserved women and children of our area.”

“What can I say about volunteering at The Living Room? It is about being a part of a community of women helping each other. It is a place where people can let down their guard and feel welcomed and appreciated for who they are. It's a warm space for everyone.”
